Sport might not be the first you think of when you visit Prague,
but Prague offers several possibilities for a good experience. Especially
soccer, ice hockey, and tennis are very popular.
Soccer
Sparta Prague is the team in the Czech Republic. During the 80´ties
and the beginning of the 90´ties the team was one of the best in
Europe. Sparta Prague is now about to built up a new great team. If you
are not interested in soccer, it is worth a visit to the highly modern
stadium anyway. Sparta Prague stadium is situated 5 minutes from the metro
station Hradcanská. The soccer season starts in September end ends
in June (break December to March).

This type of sport follows soccer in popularity. The Czechoslovaks
had one of the best ice hockey teams in the world, and after the split-up
the Czech ice hockey team has been able to maintain the high standard of
old days. Sparta Prague is one of the best team in the country and the
tickets are cheap.
