Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer built this elaborate baroque church in 1735 and is not to be confused with the Church of St Nicholas built in the lesser town by the same architect. Its’ creamy white façade, decorated in contrast with various stone coloured, statues, overlooks one corner of the Old Town Square. The interior is rather more modest and is fitted with heated chairs for the chilly winters. Concerts are held here throughout the year and tickets are sold at the door.
